IV. INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF FOLK CULTURE

The 4th International Symposium of Folk Culture will be held during 29 September-01 October 2016 with the collaboration of Hacettepe University and Kazan Municipality.

The aim of the symposium is to primarily contribute to the development of folk culture of Ankara -Kazan district by bringing together the researchers in the field and enabling them to interact and share information.  The symposium aims to take folk culture and folklore in a  holistic and multi-dimentional point of view with a theoretical and practical approach. The subjects of traditions, customs, beliefs, feasts, ceremonies, celebrations, traditional arts, folk architecture, clothing, ornaments, food, folk literature, folk medicine, folk music and dance will be researched.

The 4th International Symposium of Folk Culture is open to a wide rage of participants from researchers to independant researchers, tradition experts students and representatives of institutions related to the subject.

The papers which are accepted by the scientific committe can be presented as oral presentations and poster presentations which will later be published following the event.
